FCC Challenge #207- card four

My last entry was for my Granddaughter:

I have seen several of this type of card on the many blogs I follow and thought I would try it but change it up a bit.  It is a bunny peeking through a tree.

(This picture is sideways.  I couldn't get it to turn around! LOL)

The base is kraft and I ran it through a wood grain embossing folder.  I did all the cuts from the George and Basics Cricut Cartridge ( even the one on the kraft base)  The bunny head is cut from 1 1/2 inch and 1 inch circles. The ears, centers, feet and foot pads are also 1 inch and 3/4 inch ovals.  His nose is a heart at 1/2 inch.  The pink paper was placed on the inside of the kraft for the background for the bunny.   His cute eyes and smile are Peachy Keen Face Stamps with white gel pen enhancements.  I cut a long strip and snipped banner ends.  I then stamped my sentiment and folded the banner to overlap each end and glued it under the bunny hole.

NOW FOR THE CHANGE-UP!

On the inside is his bunny butt!  I glued the head together and attached it to the front of the card, folding one ear down.  Then I glued the butt to the head and placed the feet to dangle on the inside.  A swirl texture circle makes the fluffy tail pop without adding a lot of bulk.  The inside is stamped with "DID SOMEONE SAY CHOCOLATE BUNNIES?"  Adding three flowers from the same cartridge brought a little color and spring to the card.  I love how it turned out and my Granddaughter lovers her "babbit"!

Well, I finally posted and it was a challenge just getting that done.  To make three cards was something entirely different.  I am always thinking I will make cards up ahead to save some time, but I never do  I tend to make each card personalized for the recipient.  I also tend to do my best work under pressure  Oh well!

Hope you enjoyed my post and challenge entries.

FCC Challenge #207- card three

The next card was for my Mother:

This is also paper pieced using patterns from a fun foam pattern CD I purchased from Paper Wishes..  I downloaded the patterns into my computer and printed each one on cardstock.  Then I cut them out to save for multiple use.  Itraced each pattern on the blank side of printed paper and then hand cut each piece.  I sponged around the edges to sharpen the images.  The eyes, nostrils, stitches and squiggles are hand drawn with a thin line black pen.  I cut the tabs off of three daisy brads and stuck them on the card using glue dots.

For the inside, I used a frame from a Cricut Cartridge making it 4 inches on real dial size.  The sentiment is stamped and the squiggles black thin line pen.  Another daisy pulls the front and back together.

FCC Challenge #207- card two

Next card is for my sister:

Again, I paper pieced  (hand cut, not from a machine).  This one is square and I like how the bunny is tilted and his ear goes off the pink background.  I started with white card and added a bright pink layer to offset the pink on the bunny head.  The nose and ear centers are pink paper. His eyes, whiskers, mouth, and eyebrows are drawn on with a thin black pen.  Hippity Hoppity is stamped with black ink and stitches drawn on with pen.  A white gel pen dotted on the eyes brings him to life!

For the inside, I cut a scallop oval and a smaller regular oval using Spellbinders dies and the colors from the front.  "The Bunny is back in town" is stamped with black ink.  I also embossed two lines down each side of the inside (and top/bottom) to give the card a little texture.  I did this on a scoreboard.

FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE ENTRIES!

Today I am entering the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.
I am sending in a few cards that I made for Easter as the theme for the challenge is Easter or a bunny (http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2014/04/fccb-challenge-207-easter-or-use-bunny.html).

First a card for my brother:

I call this one Egg Painting.  I know, how original, but I think the card is cute and it utilizes the paper piecing technique.

I am not sure if you can tell in the picture, but I ran the large white oval through the Cuttlebug using the very popular Swiss dots folder.  I glittered one egg and a small border around the yellow layer.  One egg is polka dot and one is striped.  The chicken is hand cut and paper pieced. I dotted eyes and nostrils and also extended the mouth up from the beak to look like a smile.  Adding a little tuft of hair makes him adorable.  The paintbrush is also pieced using wood grain for the handle and the brush tip has some paint on it.

For the inside, a little chick pops out of the glittered egg to say Have a TWEET Easter.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

That is the question!  Seems like the holidays got the best of me and I lost track (again) of my blog.

I hate when that happens.

I am getting on the ball and posting again starting tomorrow.
I have quite a few projects I would like to share with you, so I will be posting soon and joining some challenges again.

My apologies to my followers!
