CARDZ TV Graduation Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I am posting my project for the CardzTV Challenge.  I made these cute pencils for my granddaughters Kindergarten class.  They are graduating on June 5th.

Although this is not my original idea, it is my interpretation of it.

These are all the components needed to make the pencils.  Yellow paper, pink paper, silver foil paper or ribbon, roll of Rolos, Hershey Kiss, glue dots and I used Redline tape to adhere the paper around the Rolo.  You can also use decorative scissors (I used a wave) and stamps.
First I used two large glue dots to attach the Kiss to the bottom of the Rolo.  Then I cut the yellow to go around the Rolo with a little covering the Kiss.  I cut the wavy pattern on the bottom of the yellow using the decorative scissors. I embossed lines every three marks on my scoreboard running lengthwise down the yellow. Using tiny stamps, I stamped several graduation messages and icons on the pencil paper. Then I cut pink strips and circles for the eraser.  I was going to use Mentos for these but that candy doesn't have a wrapper.

Next, using the Redline tape, I attached the silver strip (I used silver paper ribbon from a Christmas roll) around the pink eraser making sure to place it half on the pink and half on the yellow.

Thanks for stopping by!
